Aune and Eero Karkiainen started the bakery initially at their home in 1944 in Putaa. In the picture Karkiainen bakers from 1976.

1968 Karkiainen moved to Tornio, initially to Keskikatu, and later to its current location in Länsiranta. Later, the operations expanded to cover a cafe.
